Heat fixed plastered

The ZEWOTHERM wall heating as a wet/plaster system is mounted directly on existing walls by means of wall clamping rails and plastered in with a pipe overlap of only approx. 15 mm*. Here all solid walls (e.g. brick, concrete or lime sandstone) are suitable. The construction results in an efficient wall heating system that can be installed quickly; possible cracking is prevented by the embedded reinforcement fabric. The heating pipes (high-quality PB heating pipe 12 x 1.3 mm) thus plastered in are applied in a meandering manner (vertically or horizontally) to the wall clamping rails and fastened with round nail clamps. The ideal pipe distance is 10 cm, the wall clamping rails are fixed approx. every 45-50 cm. The register connection (approx. 6 m²) with a pipe length of up to 80 m is made directly to the system distributor or to a return temperature limiter (no collecting lines are required here).

All in all, an effective system is created that uses the wall surface as an optimal heat exchanger to heat the entire room.

Installation instructions

  1. First, the wall clamping rails are fastened to the wall at a distance of approx. 45-50 cm using knock-in dowels.
  2. The extremely flexible polybutene tube 12 x 1.3 mm is meandered (vertical or horizontal) with round nail clips attached to the previously fixed wall clamp rail. The recommended pipe spacing is 10 cm. The distance from the floor to the heating pipe should be 25-30 cm. The minimum bending radius of the pipe is 6 cm.
  3. In the curved areas, the pipe is fixed by the round nail clips (on brick walls) or dowel hooks (on concrete/gas concrete walls) or a piece of the wall clamping rail. A reinforcement fabric is embedded to prevent cracking.
  4. Finally, the wall heating level is plastered with a pipe covering of approx. 15 mm. Note: Single-layer plastering for gypsum plasters; double-layer plastering with service life for cement-bound plasters and clay plasters. Please observe the manufacturer's instructions.
The wall heating coils are connected either directly to the system distributor or to a return flow temperature limiter (coil connection approx. 6 m²). The water quantity is set via the flow meters on the system distributor.


Advice

  • The maximum pipe length per heating circuit is 80 m [approx. 6 m² installation area plus approx. 2 x 10 m connecting pipe with an expansion of 8 K and dp (26 kPa)].
  • Suitable for lime/gypsum plasters, lime/cement plasters or clay plasters.
  • The flow temperature is max. 40 °C for plastered plasters containing gypsum.
  • The pipe covering is approx. 15 mm (single-layer plaster build-up for gypsum plasters); cement-bound and/or clay plasters are applied in two layers (with service life according to manufacturer specifications) also with a pipe covering of 15 mm.
  • No heating of the pipes necessary.
