Our subsidiary in Holland, based in Breda, distributes the ZEWOTHERM heat and energy systems to our Dutch specialist partners and Benelux countries. Of course, the "Dutch all-round package" also includes the extensive ZEWOTHERM service, including planning, calculation, support and the professional installation of surface heating systems in new buildings and renovation projects.
The U-Tube-Systems production plant located in the Netherlands manufactures high-quality 5-layer heating tubes and distribution technology for modern surface heating and cooling systems. The initial good cooperation soon led to a participation of ZEWOTHERM in the Dutch company in order to deepen the clear orientation of in-house produced product components.
In Reichshof-Wehnrath in the Oberbergische Land region of Germany, we produce our own polyethylene heating pipes under a joint venture with Unatherm, the early pioneer in PE pipe technology and a family business also committed to innovation. The production of high quality pipes requires constant quality control from material delivery to the product ready for dispatch.
Special attention is paid to the monitoring of pipe production - it is seamless: Incoming goods inspection, monitoring of the production process, tests during and after production, final inspection before dispatch, the basis for quality assurance are the testing and monitoring regulations of the Süddeutsche Kunststoffzentrum and other European testing institutes, the production process according to DIN ISO 9002 and the corresponding DIN regulations. Each delivery of raw materials is tested for the melt index according to DIN 53735, as this is decisive for the later quality of the pipe. Only perfect goods are released for production. The machines and equipment used for production are always state-of-the-art. For example, our PLC-controlled extruders are the basis for optimum pipe production.
During pipe production, the production process is continuously monitored in accordance with DIN 8074/8075 and SKZ guidelines HR 3.2/HR 3.16. The dimensional accuracy of wall thickness and outside diameter (DIN 8075 4.2), the surface and the water-bearing inner surface are checked. All measured data are documented and can be retrieved at any time, even after years. After completion of the pipes, the following are tested: the change after hot storage (DIN 8075 4.4) the homogeneity of the material the pressure stability at 20° C and 95° C (DIN 53759). Only controlled and perfect pipes are released for dispatch.
At the Bochum plant, thousands of square meters of high-quality EPS system insulation products leave the premises every day in addition to the plant at the company headquarters in Remagen. These include system boards, and multi-insulation rolls, Velcro system boards and/or other EPS-laminated products.
